Profile
Stretching along the southern section of Gosport, Stokes Bay has a popular promenade with two cafes, and plenty of car parking. In the centre of the Bay you will find play facilities, a splash park, cafe/kiosk and toilets, with adventure golf, paid for tennis court hire and dog agility area behind. Walking east you will find outdoor gym equipment dotted along to the lifeboat station, and a large grassy area behind which is sometimes where events are held. Walking west you will find a number of car parks, cafe and the Diving Museum. The beach is pebbly with small patches of sand at low tide. Try and spot the ‘chocolate blocks’- remnants of D-day landing training and look out for crabs. There are often people swimming in the sea, or trying out water sports. There is hire available from the lifeboat end of the Bay.
